Guest link and door code

Sending the link

1. 1Open the booking and click Send by email. The guest receives an email with the details and the link, in the language set on the booking.
2. 2No email address? Create the link with Guest link, copy it with Copy link and send it by text or messenger.

On the Today page, Send guest link next to an arrival does the same.

Good to know: You only see the link when it is created. Every new link replaces the previous one at once: send it again and the old one stops working.

What the guest sees

• the apartment and property name
• arrival (from) and departure (by)
• the house information you wrote in the apartment settings
• the door code, at the right time

The page shows in Hungarian or English, and guests can switch it themselves. The house information appears as you wrote it, without translation.

The amount, source, internal notes and the guest's contact details never show on the link.

When the door code shows

From the apartment's check-in time on the arrival day (for example 15:00) until its check-out time on the departure day (for example 10:00). Before that, the guest sees when the code will appear; after it, that the stay has ended.

Record the arrival early and the code shows at once; record the departure early and it disappears. After the check-out time the code stays hidden, even if the arrival was recorded.

Good to know: The guest link does not refresh by itself: guests see changes after reloading the page.

A code for one booking

If a guest gets their own code, for example with a smart lock, enter it on the booking page under Own code for this booking. It replaces the apartment's code for that booking; remove it and the apartment code applies again.

Security

• Door codes are stored encrypted.
• Only owners can set and reveal codes.
• You can revoke a link on the booking page at any time, and a cancelled booking's link stops working by itself.
• The link still opens after departure, but no longer shows the code.
