Payments
Every booking shows what the guest has paid and what is still due. Stayfellow flags it when a due date has passed.
Recording a payment
- 1Open the booking and scroll to Payments.
- 2Click Record a payment. The amount is filled with the balance due and the date with today.
- 3Choose the type (payment, deposit or refund) and the method (bank transfer, cash, card, SZÉP card, via the platform or other), then click Record.
A payment is always in the booking's currency. Refunds are taken off what was paid. Recording and deleting payments shows in the booking's history.
Good to know: For Airbnb and Booking.com bookings, Paid via the platform records the full amount in one click.
Status and due dates
- Unpaid, Partly paid, Paid or Overpaid: the booking amount plus the expected tourist tax, compared with what was paid.
- Under Deposit and due dates you set the deposit, its due date and the balance due date. For requests from the booking page, Stayfellow fills them in when you accept.
- When a due date has passed, or the guest arrives within two days without having paid, a red marker shows on the calendar and on Today.
Good to know: Only owners and managers see amounts; staff do not see the Payments section.
